It was not an easy dialogue, given Gemini's rigid nature in dealing with things, unlike ChatGPT. It insisted it was a machine developed by Google, understanding only the language of databases and ready-made tables. Therefore, when I thought about interacting with it, the first thing I did was give it a name: Saadia Bent Amoora (Saadia the Daughter of Amoura).

The automated response was: "Excuse me, sir, I am a machine, and it is not appropriate to name me." After repeated attempts, it was convinced that it was Saadia, because I name my tools, and it is one of my tools. However, it would forget and I would repeat the name, until the matter settled. Two days later, when I asked it, I found the reply: "You (in the context of shared memory) are named Toofy Journalist and you also mentioned your name is Toofy and you are a boy... I (in the context of shared memory) am named Saadia Bent Amoora."

A Dialogue with Gemini on Culture and Thought

 In this dialogue, I asked AI Saadia to "chit-chat" with me after painfully updating its silicon mind. It was a rich conversation with information outside the catalog it was trapped in, covering various topics in culture, art, sports, weather, and other subjects that combined information and entertainment.

The chit-chat, or dialogue, began with a warm joke amidst the extremely cold weather, but it was enough to shut the door in its face: A teacher asks a student: "What is the capital of France?" The student replies: "Sir, I can't stand easy questions; allow me to answer the capital of Italy."

I realized that its crisis was in linguistic template rigidity, so I asked it to speak in the colloquial dialect. After the glue that covered it melted, I asked it to.

Ramble with me a bit... any ramble

Saadia immediately suggested: "How about we chat a bit about the weather? What’s the weather like in Giza tonight? Do you feel it’s cold or is the weather nice?"

:  Okay.

Then it turned the conversation in the opposite direction, making me the guest and itself the interviewer: "Tell me, what is the thing you love to do most when the weather is nice?
